What clients say about us
“We have been working with DutchTaxAdvice for almost 5 years. They have helped us register companies, manage taxes, handle employment contracts and essentially manage everything we needed to keep the company functioning so we could focus on our product instead of accounting or tax management. They are true experts and always happy to advice best options in concrete situations.”
“DutchTaxAdvice has proven to be the partner we had been hoping to find, and their support began long before we were even incorporated. They walked us through incorporation, submitting amendments to the KVK, and helped our employees apply for the 30% ruling. They’re responsive, friendly, and quick to help translate Dutch tax requirements whenever needed.”

FAQ
Quick answers to what companies ask us most. Different question? The free intro call exists for exactly that.
How much corporate income tax does a BV pay?
In 2026 the rate is 19% on profits up to €200,000 and 25.8% above that. How you structure your company affects what you actually pay.
When is the corporate income tax return due?
For a calendar financial year, by 1 June of the following year. We can request an extension that usually gives several extra months.
How often do I need to file VAT returns?
Normally, VAT must be filed quarterly. We prepare and file them so you never miss a deadline.
What does it take to set up a BV?
Incorporation goes through a Dutch civil-law notary and there is no minimum capital requirement. Afterwards you register with the KVK and for VAT and payroll where relevant. We guide the whole process.
Do I need a holding structure?
Not always, but a holding BV can protect assets and make a future sale more tax efficient. We advise before you incorporate, because changing it later costs more.
Do I have to pay myself a salary as director-shareholder?
Yes. If you own 5% or more of your BV, the customary salary rules apply. For 2026 the standard minimum is €58,000 per year. We help you set and document the right amount.
What are my obligations when I hire my first employee?
Employer registration, compliant payroll, wage tax and social security contributions, and possibly sector pension obligations. We set it all up for you.
What does the 30% ruling mean for me as an employer?
You can pay an eligible international employee up to 30% of their salary tax free, at no extra cost to you. We handle the joint application end to end.
Could you be eligible for the 30% ruling?
Pay up to 30% of your salary tax-free. We check eligibility and handle the application, whether you’re the employee or the employer offering it.
